My schedule at work was recently changed, and I realized how much time I devoted to YouTube, BlogTV, popurls, etc. It was many hours per day. That upset me. The internet was supposed to help us. But I find that it can dominate us too. That worries me. I’m worried about younger kids who spend all their time on computers, and not socializing in real life. I’m worried about twenty-somethings whose life is all online. Same for thirty-somethings and older. Results? For example, guys who don’t know how to ask a girl out, or even phone her, for a date. No texting. No cellphone messages. No stickam or skype. An actual face-to-face conversation or a live conversation on the phone. I’m not sure what the outcome of all this is, but we’ll soon find out.
If a butterfly’s wings flapping in Washington D.C. can possibly cause a hurricane over Beijing, imagine what one person can do to change the world.
